Scope of Position

Assist in the supervision, administration and coordination of the day to day Electronic Gaming Device (EGD) technical operations and responsible for EGD project planning; project implementation; gaming machine performance and statistical analysis; and placing, replacing, and removing machines on the gaming floor.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day activities; provide training, planning, assigning and directing work; interview and hire; appraise performance, reward, and discipline team members; correct and approve time cards, schedule time off, and post shift bids; and address complaints and resolve problems.

Supervise EGD Shift Mangers, all Supervisors, Floor Attendants, Beverage Servers and Technicians to ensure the highest possible standards of guest service are provided on a continual basis.

Other Responsibilities

  • Perform all functions in accordance with applicable Tribal, Federal and other laws and gaming regulations and Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the highest possible standards of guest service are provided.
  • Listen and respond to guest and team member concerns and questions.
  • Assist the director and manager of EGD to develop and achieve goals and objectives for the department. Promote professionalism and provide leadership and motivation to staff at all levels.
  • Recommend, develop and implement strategies to improve policies or processes to enhance guest gaming experience.
  • Establish internal operating procedures that safeguard and protect Tribal assets, guests, team members and Tribal property.
  • Responsible for technical functions of all EGD machines including projects, preventative maintenance, vendor communications, server issues, and malfunctions.
  • Assist in the managing and monitoring the department's budget.
  • Ensure accuracy of the EGD master file and EGD Floor Plan.  
  • Maintain accurate on-line records of all Electronic Gaming Devices.
  • Conduct slot analysis to identify and or recommend machine conversions, changes or moves.
  • Responsible for floor map which include timely AutoCAD updates or VizEx updates.
  • Develop, monitor, measure and improve customer relation skills for all technical staff.
  • Communicate with the IT and Maintenance staff to address any networking or maintenance issues which may affect the outcome of a project.
  • Promote a friendly atmosphere by smiling, welcoming guests with friendly greetings, making eye contact with guests and offering kind departure statements.
  • Conduct and attend departmental training and meetings as required.
  • Attend and satisfactorily complete all training as assigned and required.
  • Manage and maintain security of confidential information entrusted to position.
  • Assist in the completion of floor projects or machine testing as needed.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Class II or Server based gaming.

  • Ability to use player tracking and gaming accounting software and hardware.

  • Language Skills: Excellent oral and written communications skills. Spanish or other language skills a plus.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Ability to understand complex instructions and material. Ability to mentally process abstract ideals.

  • The team member must have the hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, touch-screen display, telephone and calculator.
  • Lift, push and pull up to 50lbs.

Work Environment

The work environments described here are representative of those that must be met and are encountered by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to work for extended periods in an office under artificial fluorescent lighting with varying noise levels and in a smoke filled environment.
  • The team member must be able to perform under pressure, concentrate for a prolonged periods and able to work long hours under stressful conditions.
  • The team member may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with difficult guests and extremely irate staff members.

An individual must have the following job availability to perform one or more essential functions of this position.

  • Flexibility: The team member may need to work nights, weekends, holidays and/or extended hours if required.

Travel

Travel may be necessary to perform one or more essential functions of this position.

REQUIRED ENTRY CRITERIA

Education and Experience

  • Must have a degree in Electronics, Business or Engineering or comparable college level courses.
  • Must have five (5) years of slot technical experience and or slot operations experience.
  • Prior successful Supervisory or management experience required.
  • Must have experience in planning and completing large scale projects.
  • Auto-Cad Experience preferred.

Other Criteria

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • KTTT Gaming Commission Gaming License, including successful completion of background check necessary to obtain and maintain License. Responsible to keep all documents current and valid at all times.
  • Must be able to provide authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation to commute to and from work.

PREFERRED ENTRY CRITERIA

Education and Experience

  • Previous casino opening experience, casino floor re-designs or expansions desired.
  • Auto-Cad certification a plus.

Other Criteria

  • Native American preference is observed.
