Scope of Position

Assist in the supervision, administration and coordination of the day-to-day EGD (Electronic Gaming Device) operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervises day-to-day activities; provides training, planning, assigning and directing work; interviews and hires; appraises performance, rewards, and disciples team members; corrects and approves time cards, schedules time off, and posts shift bids; and addresses complaints and resolves problems.

Other Responsibilities

  • Performs all functions in accordance with applicable Tribal, Federal and other laws and gaming regulations and Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies and procedures.
  • Ensures the highest possible standards of guest service are provided and listens and responds to guest and employee concerns and questions.
  • Recommends and implements KLEC strategies to improve service levels in efforts to expand guest return visits and attendance to increase EGD profits
  • Assists in the management and monitoring of the EGD Department budget.
  • Develops and achieves the goals and objectives of the EGD Department.
  • Ensures all department facets and team members perform to optimum levels of accuracy and in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
  • Completes tasks with minimal supervision and within deadlines.
  • Follows through with EGD Team Members on their assigned tasks to insure completion.
  • Responsible for departmental compliance with specifications required by the TICS, MICS and our AML program.
  • Provides reports or responses to all levels of Management as necessary or requested.
  • Identifies staff development needs and is responsible to ensure all EGD staff are trained on current and new technology relating to EGD machines, KLEC Policies or Regulations,
  • Establishes develops internal operating procedures necessary to protect Tribal assets, customers and casino employees.
  • Establishes, develops, and maintains effective business relationships with all levels of management and EGD vendors.
  • Monitors, witnesses or authorizes EGD prize payments and is responsible for ensuring paperwork is complete in accordance with procedure.
  • Assists in the completion of floor projects or machine testing as needed.
  • Attends, and satisfactorily completes all required training as assigned and required.
  • Manages and maintains security of confidential information entrusted to position.

Essential Competencies

An individual must be proficient in each of the competencies listed below to successfully perform the responsibilities of this position.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of casino gaming and gaming devices is a must.
  • Knowledge of server based gaming and basic IT infrastructure.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to use CIS, Kronos, Spend-Map and Asset Essentials operating systems.
  • Ability to form and maintain effective relationships with the General Manager, Directors, Managers, and staff.
  • Ability to pass a report writing exercise and/or EGD operational comprehensive test.
  • Demonstrate Microsoft office skills particularly the use of excel and word.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal, and work with mathematical such as probability and inference.
  • Language Skills: Excellent oral and written communications skills. Spanish or other language skills a plus. Must be able to write, develop and edit evaluations, reports, corrective action notices, meeting minutes and policies in English.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Ability to understand complex instructions and material. Ability to mentally process abstract ideals.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in person or using telecommunications equipment.
  • Must have the hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, touch-screen display, telephone and calculator.
  • Lift, push and pull at least 25 lbs.

Work Environment

The work environments described here are representative of those that must be met and are encountered by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to work for extended periods in an office under artificial fluorescent lighting with varying noise levels and in a smoke filled environment
  • Must be able to perform under pressure, concentrate for prolonged periods and able to work long hours under stressful conditions.
  • The Team Member may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with difficult guests and extremely irate staff members.

An individual must have the following job availability to perform one or more essential functions of this position.

  • Location: 794 Lucky Eagle Drive, Eagle Pass, TX 78852
  • Flexibility: The employee may need to work nights, weekends, holidays and/or extended hours if required.

Travel

Traveling maybe necessary to perform one or more essential functions of this position.

REQUIRED ENTRY CRITERIA

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Slot Management or related field from an accredited four year college or university or successful completion of comparable college level courses.
  • Must have five (5) years of slot technical experience and or slot operations experience.
  • Must have five (5) years experience as a Slot Manager or above.
  • Ability to pass a report writing exercise and/or EGD operational comprehensive test.

 

Other Criteria

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Required to provide one of the two prior years adjusted gross income amounts listed on the Federal tax return which can be confirmed by IRS to properly complete IRS TIN Matching Program registration.
  • KTTT Gaming Commission Gaming License, including successful completion of background check necessary to obtain and maintain License. Responsible to keep all documents current and valid at all times.
  • Must be able to provide authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation to commute to and from work.

  • Native American preference is observed.
